Ladies & Couples Night at The Galleri

clock January 30, 2009 19:46 by author octospit

in order to stimulate business, my coworker came up with this private party. free alcohol and food, $1 for bottled water

so this is a mock up which probably won't make it to final print. the ad will run in the SF Guardian and SF Weekly, i will post final print later. it does look like the background (cherub) will make it though. of course this will work for online ad. done in illustrator and photoshop

HUNDRED LEFT HANDED BLOWS!!! Manny Pacquiao the Mexicutioner

clock December 7, 2008 10:39 by author octospit

well, i was able to catch the Dream Match after all. although i watched it broadcasted online and the Pacman looked like The Flash appearing one place and then another in a split second; the other second jamming a left jab into Golden Boy's face! not much of a performance from Oscar as he was at least able to get to through the 8th round. the Pacman holds 5 belts, 4 of which was displayed during introductions. the physicality and skill of Pacman is overwhelming to all his opponents. he is an idol and an inspiration to all his fellow countrymen and sportsmen all over the world. much respect and props Manny!

 FIGHT STAT/PLAY BY PLAY

although it was a great day for the sport that night there was some unusual events that took place such as the death of two spectators during the fight.

Bombo Radyo reported that Lout Gary Ocot of Magsaysay town in Misamis Oriental suffered a heart attack while watching the bout with his wife at a mall.

In Cebu province, an 80-year-old man, Santos Pangatungan Sr., also suffered a heart attack while watching the third round of the bout in Lapu-Lapu City.

GotPrint.com = Cross-Eyed Fuc$Heads!!!

clock November 7, 2008 14:44 by author octospit

well, just received my business cards today from GotPrint.com and i regret ever using them to order my business cards. of course i can't complain because their terms and conditions include

"GotPrint is NOT LIABLE for errors in a final product caused by any of the following reasons:
Misspelling, Graphics, Bleeds, Grammar, Damage Fonts, Punctuation, Wrong cuts, Incorrect or Missing Folds, Finished Product SizeINDEMNITY"...

of course i read the terms and conditions...i TRUSTED them and they delivered pretty quick, but to try to run a profession and hand out crooked-cut cards is a joke. i'll be a laughing stock handing this sh!t out. only people i can hand this out to is my close friends, because obviously they're my friends and of course they'll point out that my business cards are cut all fuc#ed up and sh!t. yes, i will call this company later. yes, i'm going to complain and yes, i'm going to tell them that they need to hire better employees who know what the fuc# they're doing! fuc#in' dumsh!ts! fuc#he@ds! you have to be one dumb fuc#face dip sh!t dumb sh!t to work at a business card place and not know how to cut a fuc#in' piece of paper! retard fuc#'s!!!

TECH: TADA! The Dunnington!

clock September 7, 2008 13:54 by author octospit
first there was the basic CPU processors followed by dual-cpu setups, then by quad-cpu setups, lately the dual-core(Intel's Core 2 Duo) and then quad-cores(Intel's Xeons) but announced earlier today is the so called Dunnington or Xeon 7400 series, a six-core processor. intel has introduced this as a server processor, but don't think this is where it will stop. with the news about the Core i7 chips arriving later, it looks like major changes will be taking place in our lifetimes; actually more like this year. yes, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, and Dell will announce products with the Xeon 7400 sometime this month.

GAMING: Juiced up and ready to go??

clock September 7, 2008 13:54 by author octospit
OH NO THEY DIDN'T! as a casual browser or 'googler', i came upon some interesting news via MaximumPC.com which peaked my interest. they had an article about professional gaming and the subject of players doping. pfft, tssk, hahaha! dang, some people just take things too seriously!. professional gaming is exactly what it says, -p-r-o-f-e-s-s-i-o-n-a-l--g-a-m-i-n-g-. to me it's a recreational activity spiced up with gambling. it's not a sport. sheesh, you just sit there and use your hand to press buttons and move a plastic mouse around. it's like sitting with someone to play battleship and say "hey, i'll bet you 200 bucks i win." is that a sport?

yes, the winnings are greater than $200. some winnings going over half a million, but to have people tested or banned for taking stimulus drugs while playing is just absurd. whoever spoke up about it was just someone who got beaten on some game and was pissed off because the person who beat him smoked one too many joints. can't he just maybe umm, practice, practice, and try a little harder next time? he was sober and clear headed. maybe he just SUCKED!

read the artical here! yes, you can tell me what you think.

New 15.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor with improved noise reduction, wide range ISO 100-3200 (H1: 6400, H2: 12800), 14-bit conversion for smooth color tones and gradations.

The EOS 50D features a newly-designed 15.1-megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor which is capable of recording up to 4752 x 3168 pixels with full 14-bit A/D conversion for extremely fine tonal gradation. Ready to capture images in an instant, the sensor is designed to work with Canon's EF and EF-S lenses with a conversion factor of 1.6x. It's capable of recording at sensitivities previously too noisy for shooting in low light or subjects in motion. With a maximum ISO rating of 12800 combined with a 4-level High ISO speed noise reduction function, images that would have been impossible without the use of a strobe or flash become simple to record.

NEWS: Freak!!

clock September 7, 2008 13:48 by author octospit
read news today about an ex-priest and ex-radio host charged for child pornography. what in the world is wrong with this guy! he used to be with the Roman Catholic Church, spoke out against child molestation, and also did volunteer work to help victims of the tsunamis.

Police Reports and Investigative Information on what took place
Ward, 57, told the judge, "I regret my actions. I want to apologize for these actions. I take full responsibility for these actions."

this guy gets 7+ years in prison along with mental therapy.

Ward told probation officer he was abused as a youngster from the fifth to seventh grade.

yea that just explains everything. how many abused adolescents do we have in just the U.S.? watch out everyone! protect your children! don't hit your kids! dammit, he's an adult and should know better; what sucks is he did! he spoke out against that kind of stuff and even when he was in his little chat he states that he shouldn't be doing that and that he was a bad boy BUT he liked how he felt doing it.

what sucks is that not only did he get himself in this situation but he actually involved his own children! freakin' headcase.

--more later! arrrg!

TECH: Piclens/Cooliris, Inc

clock September 7, 2008 13:46 by author octospit
thanks to my friend jason, i was introduced to PicLens. this is a great add-on for you Mozilla Firefox users! this add-on is slowly being accepted my many sites, the biggest of them right now is Flickr. the add-on called PicLens by Cooliris, Inc. allows users, with a click of their button to transform a gallery site or picture filled site to a nice interactive picture/gallery viewer.

it automatically grabs any picture file or video (nice!) and displays it in a graphic animated gallery set up which you can then navigate by mouse or arrow keys in addition to zooming in and out or choosing the slideshow feature. directing you Firefox to a folder on your computer will also allow you to view you're own pictures with this neato pic viewer. give it a try! it's free too!

thanks jason! thanks cooliris!
